Top 5 Things We’re Thankful For

Updated: 5 days ago

  1. Our CSA and Farmers’ Market Customers

We literally wouldn’t be here without you, and we cherish your support. You drive us to provide the best veggies possible, and you’re the reason we get to do this amazing, important work.

  1. The VRDNT Team

Becky, Cassandra, Amanda, Pitters, and Ashley–our crew of amazing, badass women work hard to meet the customers’ needs every week. They make it happen and they love what they do!

  1. Volunteers

We opened up volunteering again at the tailend of summer and are so grateful for the folks who’ve helped us on the farm–every bit makes a difference and helps alleviate our workload. We’re especially thankful for regular volunteer and friend of the farm Julia Keim who’s been back at least half a dozen times. She’s also a very talented photographer (@juleskeim).

  1. Our CSA Pickup Partner Locations

Eden East Farm, Sour Duck Market, both Local Pastures sites, Easton Park, Mueller Farmers’ Market, Wheatsville on South Lamar, Casa de Luz, and two of the Epoch Coffee sites. These 10 local organizations are generous enough to host our CSA pickups every week, making it more convenient for us and our customers to get their fresh veggie fix.

  1. The Weather

Finally, Texas is chilling out, and we couldn’t be happier. The same goes for the vegetables in the field. All of our fall/winter crops are thriving, the weeds and bugs subsiding, and the watering schedule relaxing. We have to remember to appreciate these few cooler months of the year and respite from the heat, even if we are wimps in the cold.
